Jae is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Ellison lab in the Department of Genetics. During his PhD at the University of Houston with Richard Meisel, he studied house fly sex determination and sex chromosome evolution. He was a Postdoctoral Associate in Serap Aksoy’s lab where he studied the host-microbe interactions with tsetse flies before he joined the Ellison lab where he studies telomere evolution and co-evolution between Drosophila and Transposable elements.
